巨人隊已經簽下山口俊、森福允彦兩名投手，但仍持續補強，巨人隊總經理堤辰佳，今天首度正式表態，將爭取陽岱鋼加盟。
堤辰佳表示，這周開始，正式與陽岱鋼經紀人交涉，也會開出合約條件，陣中沒有固定的中外野手人選，希望爭取陽岱鋼加盟後，能強化中線守備，陽岱鋼也能成為球隊打線上面的核心。
除巨人隊外，樂天隊和歐力士隊，也都積極爭取陽岱鋼。
